Do you need a regular shift pattern, of 8am – 8pm or 8pm – 8am’? Hours: Part-time, Full-Time & Zero Hour contracts available Salary: From £46,293 - £61,561 per annum pro rata Location: New Cross Hospital, Wolverhampton About the role: Vocare Central are recruiting for Advanced Nurse Practitioners for their Out of Hours & Urgent Treatment Centre Service situated in Wolverhampton. You will play a pivotal role in supporting new staff in their development and also contribute to delivering the highest quality of patient care. We are looking for committed staff who are passionate about putting patients first and are willing to support the service when required. Duties within the role: To see, diagnose, treat and discharge patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed illness and injury. Exercise a higher degree of personal and professional autonomy using advanced clinical practice skills to include clinical interventions. Utilise independent/supplementary prescribing skills for benefits of patient care. Keep accurate and up to date records during patient consultations within the relevant software. To undertake telephone triage and home visit as the service demands To refer patients for investigation to community service when appropriate. To support new staff in their development, participating in supervision, mentorship to help new staff develop and achieve competency. Identify issues which may negatively impact upon service delivery and reporting these to the Advanced Lead Practitioner Assist in clinical audit and the monitoring of services and unscheduled care. To deputise for Advanced Lead Practitioner when necessary What we are looking for: Candidates must be a Registered First Level Nurse with a minimum of five years of post registration experience (two of which are ideally working in a primary or urgent care environment) and also hold qualification in physical assessment, minor illness, minor injury and paediatric minor illnesses and injury. The ideal candidate would be a highly skilled team player who has excellent communication skills, the ability to provide autonomous care for all patients in a timely, patient centred manner. Candidates should also possess a desire to participate in service change and work force development in this ever changing environment.
