Overview
Job Title: Sous Chef Salary: up to £33,000 Location: London Who will you be working for? A modern British brasserie restaurant in central London who pride themselves on a fresh, seasonal menu that changes regularly throughout the year. In addition to the restaurant, they have a busy banqueting/events business. What are we looking for? A Sous Chef who has a passion for working with the best seasonal produce. You’ll need to be creative and have a natural flair for menu writing and understanding how to treat ingredients to get the best out of them. As part of the senior team, the ideal candidate will already be working as a Sous Chef and have a strong grasp of all areas of kitchen management. Desirable Qualities: Currently be a Sous Chef within a high-end modern British gastropub or restaurant Have a natural, creative flair for working with fresh, seasonal ingredients Possess excellent communication skills and able to lead a large kitchen brigade in the Head Chef’s absence Have excellent knowledge of health & hygiene policies and procedures Be passionate about food with a drive to get your ideas on to the menu Does this sound like the job for you?
