General Manager vacancy – Award winning Restaurant with Rooms Job description: Our client is an award venue with 10 luxury bedrooms and a superb restaurant which has 2 AA Rosettes for food. We are now looking for an experienced General Manager who will thrive in this hands on role. We are looking for a 'hands on' operational type GM who has a passion for quality F&B. The venue is one of 5 venues under the same ownership and you will receive head office support in relation to finance and accounts. In terms of the team you will be supported by an Assistant Manager, Head Chef, Housekeeper and overall team of 28 full and part time staff. You must be good with people have good food and beverage experience and you will have P&L accountability. An excellent salary is on offer upto £30,000 plus bonus. We are seeking a candidate that will: •Develop, implement and build on strategies to maximize all revenue streams. •To optimize commercial activities by looking at new sales potential. •To monitor and maximize the profitability of all departments. •Take an active role in forecasting, budgeting and reporting. •To help build on the excellent reputation and standards that the venue currently has. •Ensure all hotel standards and procedures are met. •Be Food & Beverage focused as this is the main driving force for the venue. •Have the ability to introduce new ideas and strategies that will help take the business forward. •To embrace and focus on the highest levels of quality in respect to both the hard and soft aspects of the business.
