You’ll be supporting our amazing customers, picking and choosing the shifts you want to work. Where you’ll work You'll be joining our new independent supported living CQC services in the beautiful old mill town of Kirklees. Our Calder House service in Mirfield and Queen Street service in Ravensthorpe supports adult customers who have a range of complex needs including Learning Disabilities, Personality Disorders and Mental Health issues. We’ll be offering person centred support, helping customers to live in their own home and fulfil their goals and aspirations so they can live their best lives. We are very close to Huddersfield town centre by public transport or by car. There is lots for you to do and get involved in, from supporting our customers to achieve their hopes and aspirations, working to bespoke care plans. You’ll go home each day knowing that you’ve made an amazing difference to vulnerable people’s lives. How amazing is that One day you might be helping our customer manage their finance or household tasks, another day supporting them to cook their lunch and a bit of shopping in the afternoon. Some of our customers also have more complex needs which may include support with personal care such as bathing. How it works Working on our bank, you’ll be able to pick and choose your shifts that you can work from those available in your area. You can do this on the go via your mobile About you You thrive on working with a range of vulnerable customers, who all have different support needs, as well as working with colleagues across our two services. You’ll be flexible to work at short notice, as you’ll be the one picking your next shift working hours that fit around your current commitments. The great news is that you’ll be gaining loads of experience working with our brilliant colleagues and customers. You'll have worked with vulnerable adults or done something similar in the past. You’ll have the heart of a Lion and sometimes need the skin of a Rhino, always demonstrating a caring attitude and the desire to make a difference What’s in it for you? At Home Group our pay rates are based on Living Wage Foundation rate which means you’ll be paid a fair hourly rate for every hour that you work and your rate even includes a payment towards your holiday pay After you have been paid for your first shift, you’ll even get a chance to stretch your money further when you get access to our brilliant shopping discount portal (saving money on your food shopping, restaurants, cinema, holidays, gym and lots more).
