Overview

This global technology business is currently offering an exciting opportunity for a HR graduate looking for a role that is supported b professional qualiications and progression. PURPOSE OF ROLE: Within your HR graduate position, you will be working in a HR role that will allow you to gain exposure and experience of all levels of HR and ER topics. You'll gain initial hands on experience working alongside the HR Manager in a generalist role. You will gain excellent exposure to a number of different HR areas including, inductions, disciplinaries, grievances, as well as the opportunity to support the HR Manager with ad-hoc projects. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Support the recruitment and selection process to ensure company procedures are followed and vacancies are filled in a timely manner, including the generation of contracts and other relevant documentation; • Process relevant employment lifecycle documentation, including changes to employee’s Terms and Conditions of Employment. • Draft template letters in relation to any informal/formal ER cases, supporting meetings/hearings as deemed necessary; • Act as first point of contact to provide advice and solutions to Managers on employee relations matters including, working arrangements, contractual matters, sickness, employee communications and consultation, either via phone or e-mail, in line with current legislations. • Coordinate and manage work experience and intern placements. • Schedule internal & external Training & Development programmes. • Provide advice on Company benefits, as well as guiding the application process. • Coordinate and manage the eyecare scheme and prescription safety glasses programme. • Maintaining Organisation Charts, including publishing on internal systems. • Conduct exit interviews, escalate any issues to HR member and/or relevant Manager, provide details of interview to HRD and HRM and log details in agreed location. • Provide cover when needed on Reception. • Manage the Company’s expenses system. • Provide support to the HR function to ensure compliance with the General Data Protection Regulations. PERSON SPECIFICATION: • A degree in Human Resources Management • Excellent IT skills, particularly in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word; • Good problem-solving skills; • Excellent planning and organisation skills with attention to detail; • The ability to work well within a team and on own initiative; • Excellent communication skills both oral & written; • Integrity - confidentiality is paramount to what we do. • An adaptable and pragmatic approach but able to "put their case" on a point of law or principle when required • The ability to get involved and gets things done.
