Build Manager - Telecoms/Civils Plymouth £57,000 - £65,000 - Bonus/Competitive Benefits We have been tasked with finding a Build Manager for the leading provider of alternative fibre network infrastructure, building pure fibre cities from the ground up. Their aim is to deliver fibre to 1 million homes by 2021 and to 8 million homes by 2025. Their internet is 20 times the speed of their competitors, so you’ll be setting the standard for innovation and leading in the market. As the Build Manager, you will own construction project builds, meet challenging targets and achieve KPIs, all to release Ready for Service homes that meet set quality standards. You’ll also support and manage your wider construction team in their growth and development. You’ll have experience managing multiple civils Construction, Contract Partners, Capital Budgets and ideally, Fibre Networks. You will be a proven leader and motivator, able to progress people and communicate across all levels of our business. The Role: · Take direct responsibility for managing civils Construction teams and dotted line management of the Design team · Champion excellence in Health, Safety, Environment and Quality · Build and maintain strong relationships with Highways and be involved in overall council engagement · Become the driving force behind innovative solutions for problems escalated by Contract Partners · Manage the operational relationships with all suppliers and put in place monitoring · Find ways to streamline existing processes and discover new ways of being more efficient · Liaise with the Commercial Team on matters relating to your projects You will Require: · Civil Engineering qualifications · Fibre Optic qualifications · NRSWA Street Works Supervisor Certification, Units 1, 10-16 · Experience in a similar local-market driven business · Experience of CRM systems such as Salesforce This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89845192
