Sales Engineer – Motion Control Location: Home-based, ideally within 50 miles of Reading, Berkshire (Covering South of West Midlands). Salary: £Competitive Car Allowance Bonus Are you a sales professional with a background of providing consultative selling techniques to large customers within an engineering capacity? This is an opportunity for someone looking to develop within an evolving industry and carve themselves a career within a market leading company who require little introduction within the industrial automation sectors. As a sales engineer, you will be responsible for building strong partnerships with some of the UK’s leading mobile automation and industrial vehicle companies helping them to ensure their products are suitably armed with the right sensors to ensure safety and efficiency. This will include providing and end-to-end solution for your (warm) customer accounts with regards to sensors and instrumentation used within the customer automation system and often blending a mixture of internal and competitor products to create and combine solution for your customers. You will also be always looking to upsell newer products and solutions as well as up-sell other areas of the business. This role would ideally suit someone with a couple of years’ sales experience (either internal or external) within a technical environment or selling a technical product who has the drive and motivation to carve themselves a career within an expanding automation market and develop themselves a reputation as being the industry expert. About you: 2-3 years’ experience within a sales position, ideally within the technical arena. The ability to develop strong partnerships with new and existing customers. Flexibility to travel and occasionally work outside of normal hours. Skills / Knowledge: New business development as well as developing existing warm accounts. Consultative selling is the way our client works, never pushing a sale for sales sake. Ideally an exposure to motion control products. Other: Full product training provided.
