Overview
Modis are recruiting for a Contract Manager to work for a complex, enterprise level organisation, based near Manchester who are adding to their senior team with this position - a role focused on a high profile new contract. As a Contract Manager you would be focused on a specific project working closely with senior stakeholders across multiple departments in a matrix management fashion on a 2-3 year project. This role doesn't have any direct reports but you'd work very closely with a dedicated project team. This role has been deemed business critical and the recruitment process will continue (albeit remotely) as quickly as suitable candidates are shortlisted. Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage the life cycle of a large complex contract Lead and direct in all aspects of commercial and contract management activity, such as supply and value chain analysis, sourcing strategies, commercial case for business cases, transition and exit plans. Identify risks between both parties and present back to the client and internal teams Regular performance reviews against existing contract Support, challenge and advise all stakeholders ensuring that best commercial outcomes are delivered in line with appropriate commercial strategies and work in a positive manner with key service providers that harness innovation and add value to deliver a strong focus on customer service and cost management. Monitor procedural controls and adherence to policies with all associate internal teams, service providers and 3rd parties Lead contract updates, renewals and future changes Skills and Experience Required Experience of contract management, commercial negotiations, procurement, drafting contract schedules, or legal agreements - ideally working for and with large scale complex organisations Strong attention to detail working with complex contracts Experience of managing vendors and suppliers Negotiation, influencing and relationship management skills Leadership skills working with geographically dispersed teams Confidence in presenting complex solutions to senior stakeholders and customers This is an exciting opportunity to work on both new and existing projects with genuine career progression beyond this role with positions available on a regular basis in leadership roles and in other teams/departments - the company policy is to always promote from within where possible.
