Senior Risk Analyst Location: Warwick, WAR, GB, CV34 6DA Division: Global Risk, European Strategy & External Stakehol Job Type: Requisition Number: 10844 Job Category: IT Job Function: Information Services About the Role Supply Chain Assurance Analyst, Warwick This exciting new role is responsible for supporting the vendor assurance program at National Grid and will focus on the evaluation of supplier risk in relation to services provided, assisting the business in determining related risk and ensuring contract terms and conditions align to assurance and risk management needs. You will be responsible for supplier consultations, evaluations and assessments, identifying control deficiencies and ensuring compliance with regulations and internal controls. Expectations of the role include recommending improvements for internal control structure, conducting independent assessments of third parties and assessments for utility regulations. About You You will support the Vendor Assurance Programme, integrating risk and assurance management into procurement processes, and manage a complex environment of suppliers providing services to National Grid. You will work with third party service providers to evaluate control design and operating effectiveness, and develop, plan and execute assurance assessments based on documented process. You'll ensure compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation, and verify the design and effectiveness of controls to secure information system assets, including people, processes and technologies. Furthermore, you will complete work papers by documenting assurance assessments and findings, clearly articulating test methodology and steps taken, and prepare regular status reports for internal management. You will communicate findings by preparing a final report and discuss with internal and external teams; discussing findings with auditees and documenting results, whilst maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
