Lead Engineer Do you possess exceptional software development and problem-solving skills ? Job responsibilities Based in their Manchester office as the Lead Engineer you will drive the technical delivery of their team, managing their workload and ensuring the right skills are available. You will be responsible for the work undertaken by your Developers and DevOps staff, and will be expected to work with Seniors and Principals to ensure that services produced are best practice. You will have exposure to a number of the following technologies: Developing with one of our core languages (Java or JavaScript), however experience in Python or C# could also fit. You should also have good exposure to SQL/RDMS, either directly or with a client library/mapping. The development of web-based forms; we would like to see experience in HTML, CSS and JavaScript, with a bonus if you have used frontend building/templating tools. Deploying solutions to the Azure, AWS or a specific cloud development/platform, preferably with experience in a contemporary CI/CD pipelines. Working in agile, multi-disciplinary and user-centred teams.
