Overview
Are you an experienced HSE Officer looking for a new opportunity? Do you have experience in supporting site management and workforce in the prevention of accidents and ill health? If so, we are currently recruiting for a client that is based at their West of Scotland manufacturing facility with the occasional travel to other UK facilities. What will a typical day involve? A typical day will involve monitoring, managing and implementing the requirements of the HSE & Energy Management systems ensuring compliance with company policy and legal requirements some of which are detailed below. Agree site based objectives and targets with Senior Management Conduct operational and management system internal audits covering occupational health, safety, environment and energy. Support site management in the review and development of HSE documentation. Highlighting areas of potential risk & developing action plans with managers & employees to reduce residual risk / hazards within the workplace. Provide advice, guidance, information, instruction and training on local HSE issues Complete induction training covering HSE & Energy for new employees, contractors and visitors where applicable. Manage 3rd party contractor approval & review in line with company procedure. What are the candidate requirements? You will be, Qualified to NEBOSH General Certificate or other recognised qualification i.e. I.O.S.H Managing safely. An environmental qualification is desirable e.g. NEBOSH certificate in Environmental Management or IEMA 2 - 3 years working HSE experience in within a heavy engineering / manufacturing environment good working knowledge of HSE Law Proficient in MS Office Applications & experience of business systems Ability to travel to cross audit other UK facilities.
