Job Description

We are working with a progressive organisation within the manufacturing industry to help them appoint a HSE Officer to join their existing team. This role will be ideal for a candidate looking to progress their career in HSE. It is important candidates have the ability to engage and influence within a fast-paced and complex environment. The role covers a variety of risks, including laboratory and direct manufacturing operations, it is important applicants are self-motivated and proactive. The Role: * Support the internal and external stakeholders in HSE management * Carry out day to day HSE duties across the site, including in operations and research & development * Work with a variety of internal and external customers, and be able to advise accordingly in a variety of HSE matters * Increase the awareness of HSE in the business and keep abreast of new legislative requirements * Develop and drive new initiatives and programmes The Person: * Hold the NEBOSH Certificate as a minimum qualification * Exposure to a laboratory type environment is strongly preferred * Maintain a hands-on approach - The ability to build working relationships is vital * Strong communication skills are essential in this role * Able to work both in a team and independently
