Overview
After an internal review, this ‘outstanding’ Secondary School based in Basildon are recruiting for a new Drama Teacher to join them on a permanent basis from September. This role is an exciting opportunity to join a well-resourced Drama department and a supportive school which you are allowed to utilise and develop your skill set. As the new Drama Teacher your duties will include but are not limited to; You will need to have an in-depth knowledge of the Drama national curriculum and be comfortable with delivering lessons to all key stages. As the new Drama Teacher, you will be required to undertake appropriate CPD training in line with school and departmental priorities. You will keep in contact with parents and guardians on their child’s progress within Drama. This Drama Teacher role will also mean keeping up to date reports on all student’s progress throughout the academic year. You will also be in charge of leading engaging group activities to help students with practical learning as well as book work. As the new Drama Teacher, you will be required to use a variety of resources to deliver the best lessons possible. You will be required to undergo relevant CPD training. The successful Drama Teacher will have the following Qualifications and Experience; You must have a Drama related degree with a relevant teaching qualification for example, PGCE or QTS. You will need to have a recent Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service. You must have a clear understanding of the UK national curriculum for Drama.
