Job description: Are you passionate about delivering real value to an organization using advanced techniques in data engineering? We are looking for a talented data engineer to work in our Data Science team. The role presents an opportunity for you to partner with stakeholders across all areas of the business including marketing, risk, customer services and quants, to deliver impactful data products. What you’ll do: As part of an exciting evolution of the Data Science within IG we are establishing a team to provide a data platform, tools and best practices for our Data Science teams. Maintain and optimise existing data pipelines, adherence SLA targets and requirements Migration of legacy data pipelines to a cloud-based solution Work with Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers to gather data requirements Required profile: You’ll need experience in: Building data models and data pipelines while delivering high data quality solutions Using various data design patterns Cloud-based architecture and deployment Guiding data scientists on using data tools efficiently You’ll possess strong skills in the following areas: At least two programming languages, preferably Python and/or Java Python data analysis libraries: pandas, numpy Relational and Document-oriented Databases Workflow management/scheduling platform: Airflow, Oozie Big-data technology stack: Spark, Hadoop Cloud Platform: GCP or AWS Qualifications: Essential – Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline Desirable – Higher level degree (MSc/PhD) in Computer Science or a related technical discipline What we offer: Flexible working hours and work-from–home opportunities Performance-related bonuses Pension, insurance and medical plans Career-focused technical and leadership training Contribution to gym memberships and more This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89774594
