Overview

The now 6x Consecutive Formula 1 World Champions’ are seeking a Senior IT Engineer to act as one of their senior engineers, delivering reliable IT services to the wider business. The primary purpose of the role is to: The purpose of the role is to focus on and improve reliability and availability across the IT application and infrastructure landscape, deliver new technologies that support, enable and enhance our mission to win F1 World Championships, lead by example as a senior technical escalation point for a broad range of IT support topics and deliver exceptional customer service and technical excellence, in a flexible way, particularly as we require support out of hours for maintenance changes and technical support (on a rota basis). To be right for my client, you'll have a strong, current and broad ranging technical background that means you can both step back and see the big picture, and get involved in a hands on way. Knowledge, skills and experience required: A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior operational support role (3rd line or equivalent) within a fast paced medium to large sized enterprise, including support of the following: Essential To maintain and secure all IT systems including (HPC, Databases, CAD, Enterprise Infrastructure). Support and optimization of a broad range of in-house and bespoke applications To recognise new technology, innovate current systems and implement new solutions. Champion learning and development, for self and the team. Open source technologies - Linux/Unix, DevOps, Clustering, Automation, CI/CD within a production environment.
