Overview

Infrastructure Engineer / 3rd Line Support Engineer / IT Support Technician £40,000 - £45,000 We're representing a market-leading SaaS (software as a service) organisation who are looking for an Infrastructure & Automation Engineer to join their team based in Cheltenham. They run a Microsoft-based production environment with Windows Server 2008-2016, VMWare, SQL Server 2012-2016 and IIS 7.0-10. My client are also in the middle of their journey to adopting Cloud technologies (AWS). We are therefore ideally looking for someone with experience in automation, containerisation and other 'Infrastructure as Code' skills. You will need to have: Ability to support third-line infrastructure issues in Microsoft-based production systems Experience of operating virtual environments (ideally VMWare) 1 to 2 years of scripting skills with PowerShell It would be a bonus if you had: Knowledge of containerization using Docker Cloud technology exposure, preferably AWS Experience of using technologies for infrastructure automation and application delivery Experience of working with Linux based Systems This is a great opportunity to gain experience working in a transforming environment as they move to the Cloud.
