IT Project Manager Birmingham Circa £360 per day inside IR35 6 months initially An IT Project Manager is required with strong experience of working with Financial services clients for a 6 month initial contract based in Birmingham. Experience and Skills: Proven Project Management experience in an IT role Experience of working with colleagues across different locations Good understanding of risk management Demonstrated ability to rapidly build relationships with key stakeholders An understanding of IT systems A broad understanding of IT hardware, software, operations and networks An understanding of all stages of application development process from specification and design, development and testing through to implementation and training An understanding of the project lifecycle, tools and methodologies used in the Group to include Risk Based Project Management, System Development Lifecycle and Agile. Communication and inter-personal skills, including the capacity to articulate the case for IT investments and alternatives in the language of the business Self-motivation and initiative Find logical solutions to problems and manage to resolution Proven ability to prioritise competing demands Experience in a project in any one of these areas: Cards, Core Banking, Transaction Banking, Loans, Payments Main Responsibilities: Planning: Prepare / Review estimate, carry project planning and tracking activities Requirement Management: Project scoping Reviews: Review of project artefacts Quality: Ensure quality objectives are met Project Team management - Ensure proper project communication and coordination among team members Client interaction - Communicate with the client regarding project progress, resolve issues related to delivery of projects Ensuring that the delivery of projects into the live system meet the agreed quality expectations, and are compliant with all relevant internal instructions and external regulatory requirements, including the management of operational risk and adherence to the Group's standards of ethical behaviour Ensuring that any issues, or risks, highlighted in testing are addressed in an appropriate manner, and are escalated as required Continually reassess the operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking into account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operational procedures and practices, management restructures and the impact of new technology In conjunction with the Compliance Department, to implement the group Compliance policy by containing Compliance risk in conjunction with the relevant Compliance Department. The term "Compliance" embraces all relevant Financial Services laws, rules and codes with which the business has to comply To adhere to and be able to demonstrate adherence to internal controls.
