Overview

A dedicated and detail-orientated Data Steward is required to join a leading international law firm to oversee the integrity and quality of data stored in their customer relationship management system, InterAction. The role holder will be joining the firm at an exciting time as the firm invests heavily in a Board-sponsored project to restructure, enhance and overhaul their InterAction data and reposition InterAction as a strategic business tool. You will enjoy working with data and will monitor it in accordance with the various standards and policies outlined in the firm's data governance framework, with a particular focus on EU data. You will manage the data that is being created and updated in the system, both by other users around the firm and in some cases, by automation. The successful applicant will have been using InterAction in a previous role and will work alongside data stewards who are being recruited in the two other regions in which the firm operates, namely the US and APAC. You will be part of a friendly team and will need to communicate with stakeholders across the business including lawyers, secretaries and "super-users", the BD team and other law firm management specialists including System Finance, Finance, HR, Library and Research teams. Key areas of focus will include maintaining data, running data quality searches and resolving data issues, handling data change management tickets, undertaking bulk imports, archiving, supporting the firm's stated GDPR approach and the events process and assisting the CRM manager in any ad hoc projects and tasks. The ideal candidate will be a bright graduate or equivalent with previous relevant experience of using InterAction in a professional services environment. Good knowledge of the principles of CRM and importance of complete and accurate data and of how to use data change management tools and advanced import tools in Interaction will be essential. Highly organised with excellent time management, communication and interpersonal skills, the Data Steward will also possess a strong attention to detail and the ability to use a range of internal and external resources to perform research around key data sets.
