Overview

Teaching Assistant Required with SEN experience Your new company A friendly and supportive first choice school within Chichester. Your new role Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with SEMHD needs in KS1. To be able to follow strategies and interventions as agreed by SENCO and class Teacher. Attend the training to deliver speech and language interventions as well as SEMHD strategies. To have developed understanding of challenging behaviour and support children with social, emotional and mental health needs. To attend Team Teach Training, this will require a certain level of fitness. Provide assistance with first aid or be willing to undertake suitable training. What you'll need to succeed GCSE Maths and and English or equivalent. NVQ L2 or L3 in education or care and experience working within a school setting. Experience delivering Speech and Language interventions, using appropriate approaches that promote the inclusion of children with SEMHD and knowledge of restorative justice practices. Communication skills are very important, must be able to pronounce words clearly and use appropriate and professional language. Have good interpersonal skills and organised to be able to think on your feet and be proactive to challenges.
