Led by a fantastic exec team with a passionate and driven FD, the finance team has been at the forefront of supporting the business through its fantastic period of growth. The Role Working as part of a fantastic finance team, lead by a really driven and supportive FD, the Credit Control Manager will have overall responsibility for managing a really bright the credit control team, with a clear focus on minimising bad debt and risk to the business. To achieve the required outcomes in an efficient, orderly, consistent and considered manner that is aligned to the demands placed on the wider finance team, the successful candidate will have good communication skills, a strong professional ethical mindset and good attention to detail. The key responsibilities include: Overall accountability for the Credit Control department ensuring all internal policies, procedures and timescales are completed in line with expectations Monitoring and proactively managing customer accounts to minimise overdue debt Preparing month-end credit control reports/packs and leading the cross-functional credit control meetings Maintaining clear communications with Commercial Account Managers, and wider business, providing direction and support where required to manage and minimise debt Balancing commercial and financial objectives with decision making to achieve the best outcome for the business Reconciling customer statements and resolving arising queries Achieve cash collection and overdue debtors targets Maintaining professional relationships with internal and external customers Dealing with all queries in a timely manner Proactively resolving challenges, escalating promptly when required Completion of team reviews and discussions in line with Line Management requirements Supporting with key activities and projects within the Finance department The Person Ideally ICM qualified, or Qualified by experience or having obtained a professional accounting qualification Strong IT and MS Excel skills, Sage Line 50 experience would be advantageous. Experience working within a credit and sales ledger department is essential, with a proven ability to manage and reduce debt Management experience is required The ability to motivate and develop individuals and teams Excellent communication skills A proven ability to build strong professional relationships Results-driven, proactive and solutions-focused mindset The Reward As well as working in fantastically modern offices with a real start-up feel, a salary of up to £35,000 is on offer.
