Overview

Our client is active in a wide range of software technologies, globally. This particular role is working in the company’s cloud based industrial engineering software tools division – improving the core applications used in these industries. The company is looking for applications from people with a senior level of experience and welcome principal level applicants too. This is a hands-on role for people who have strong technical skills and who are also keen to enhance their personal knowledge and capabilities. You will join a team of 6 strong software engineers including some particularly technically brilliant colleagues To fulfil the role, you will need: - A suitable level of commercial experience in Microsoft development languages C#.net Experience also with JavaScript (including Node.js) would be invaluable, however, the company will consider applicants with other OO language skills, e.g. Python, C++, Java, etc., who are willing to learn JavaScript Experience with REST API design principles; developing microservices/service oriented architectures Database development skills, e.g. SQL An understanding of source /version control tools Good people skills to liaise and work with internal teams of colleagues and mentoring / coaching more junior colleagues Unit testing code A good understanding of Agile methodologies, e.g. Scrum/DevOps Awareness of SAFe The following skills will improve your application, should you have them:- Developing for cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) Developing using Angular CI/CD and infrastructure as code full training will be provided on any asterisked item for the right candidate, where applicable This role will be working with in a team as part of a larger, global company – where the scope to personally develop and grow is encouraged – as is career development for those seeking it.
