Overview

World Leading Global Energy Oil Company has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to manage the successful delivery of the proposed change, co-ordination of the programme's projects and management of their inter-dependencies. You would be working within a Downstream e-commerce and end to end self-service platform digital venture, working alongside a multi-skilled, cross-functional team, in a collaborative environment. About the role: - Assist in the plan and design of the programme and provocatively monitor its progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action alongside a Programme Manager - Aid the effective quality assurance and the overall integrity of the programme - focusing inwardly on the internal consistency of the programme, and outwardly on its coherence with infrastructure planning, interfaces with other programmes and corporate, technical and specialist standards - Help manager the programme's budget on behalf of the Migration Manager, monitoring expenditure and costs against delivered and realised benefits as the programme progresses - Facilitate the appointment of individuals to project teams - Ensure the delivery of new products or services from projects is to the appropriate level of quality, on time and within budget, in accordance with the programme plan and programme governance arrangements - Ensure there is allocation of common resources and skills within the programme's individual projects - Manage third party contributions to the programme - Manage communications with all stakeholders - Initiate extra activities and other management interventions wherever gaps in the programme are identified or issues arise About you: - Flexible and a strong communicator - Ability to command respect and to create a sense of community amongst the members of the project teams - Good knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling programmes - Business case development and approvals skills - Good knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures - Extensive experience in advising project teams on their projects in relation to the programme - Find ways of solving or pre-empting problems his needs combining with a positive attitude and an ability to work within a large, globally dispersed project team in a multi-cultural environment. You also need to be a self-starter, a logical thinker and a quick learner, with strong initiative and excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, able to write clearly and concisely.
