Overview

Systems Administrator - Unix - Linux – London. Miller Maxwell is assisting a market leading provider of real-time trading systems with both buy-side and sell-side solutions. They seek an experienced Systems Administrator to join their infrastructure and engineering team. The organisation is a highly profitable FinTech offering sophisticated electronic trading solutions to a global client base. The Systems Administrator will be responsible for: Maintaining and supporting environments of both servers and client applications. Adopting and implementing new technologies to improve and automate manual tasks. Resolve complex systems and operational issues in a time pressured environment. Work within a split BAU and project-based environment. Partner with internal QA and Development teams to automate tasks. Monitor systems and performance and automated tasks. Keeping the service desk fully informed of changes and tests to be carried out once systems changes have been deployed Maintain accurate and up-to-date records Systems Administrator skill requirements: Previous experience of supporting and managing a complex software environment. Ideally five years experience as a Systems Administrator. Knowledge managing and working with Linux is essential. Scripting experience – Bash or Python. Knowledge/experience Redhat / Centos Linux (Enterprise). Continuous integration experience. System Monitoring experience – Nagios / Solarwinds. A desire to work within a software automation environment, previous – Puppet / Chef experience desirable.
