SOLUTION ARCHITECT What's on offer: Opportunity to work for a major financial services organisation Up to £95,000 salary 12% non-contributory pension 10-15% bonus Flexible working options Private healthcare Life insurance, plus lots more Key responsibilities: Interpretation of a product’s business requirements, solution design, and Cloud infrastructure capability requirements to deliver refined backlog consisting of robust and traceable technical / system requirements, in line with architecture and design standards. Producing detailed technical/system functional and non-functional requirements that are aligned to practice standards, including integration and platform alignment to meet agreed acceptance / definition of ready criteria. Review and quality assure artefacts (code and/or configuration changes) created by external suppliers and internal teams ensuring the quality of the delivered solution to fulfil business and non-functional requirements and adherence to technical designs. Writing high quality features and user stories that the development team can deliver against. Mapping requirements and designs into releases. Providing traceability of technical requirements and functional specifications by designing and delivering test phases to ensure successful outcomes. Skills/Experience required: Minimum Significant and up-to-date understanding of best practice solution architecture across all architecture domains and key platform technologies (Salesforce, O365, Sharepoint, Telephony, Cloud technologies, Data analysis and Data management tools, ERP, Integration technologies (API management, microservices, etc.)). Exceptional communication skills, able and willing to describe and negotiate complex and detailed solutions across a variety of stakeholder Experience as a Solution Architect designing products, platforms, systems and components for large and complex programmes of change. Experience of working on the end to end project lifecycle, with multi-sourced teams in multi-technology environment. Experience of designing and managing the end-to-end delivery of complex solutions for a Financial Services or regulatory body and at leading the shaping of technology architecture in support of business and technology strategies. Desirable Experience working with AWS technologies. Solid and evidenced knowledge foundation (e.g. educated to degree level in IT related discipline, BCS EA and Solution Architecture certification, etc.) Experience with formal architectural methodologies and frameworks, including TOGAF, experience in architecture modelling tools (e.g. EA Sparx, RSA etc) and agile methodologies.
