Overview
The Procurement Officer is a brand new position that's been created to develop, train and coach a procurement professional. You will join at an exciting time as the business has invested in their procurement operation to drive commercial change and drive VFM initiatives across the whole spend portfolio. This is a great opportunity for an aspiring procurement professional who works in an existing procurement team and wants to take the next step with having more responsibility. The role will have a coach and mentor in the Procurement Manager. You will be guided through capex investment projects to the value of £20m, the portfolio of procurement projects includes minor property service works, trades and labour, professional services and other ad-hoc requirements to modernise the business. The Procurement Officer will have the ability to develop and design your own strategy, taking ownership of the internal stakeholder group and driving the key objectives. This role will focus on managing the tender process for a variety of services within the construction, design and build portfolio. Professional Services for Building Surveyors, Quantity Surveyors, Architects, M&E Maintenance contractors etc. Key Responsibilities in this role will include: > Engage with stakeholders to scope the work requirements > Select the routes to market > Lead the tendering processes - SQ, PQQ, RFQ, RFI, Tender evaluation, contract award > Work with the Procurement Manager to deliver safe, commercial contracts that deliver VFM and Cost Savings Key skills and experience in this role will include: > Professional qualification in a relevant field, such as CIPS l4 > Experience of working within construction, facilities management or property services procurement tenders What will you get in return? >£32000 - 33000 >25 days holiday, pension scheme, flexible working, training and development If you want to discuss this position in more detail, please call Carl Walker at Elevation Recruitment Group.
