Overview
We are recruiting on behalf of our Client in Ilkeston - CAD Cutter / General Factory Operative Cutting a range of fabrics for all types and styles of cushions, soft furnishings and other allied items, using CAD cutting technology. On occasions hand cutting may be required. Using the Pattern Design Software (Gerber Accumark) to create patterns and layouts for use in the cutting department. Role and Responsibility: Cut fabrics, foams and or any other items provided Safely operate and maintain department machinery and tools. Learn new styles, products and changes within the range. Learn names and be familiar with reference coded fabrics Learn how to use the computerised pattern design system (Gerber Accumark). Assist in creating & digitising new patterns on the pattern design system. Creating efficient cutting layouts on the pattern design system to utilise fabric with little waste. Assist in stock check on a monthly and annual basis Loading and unloading of materials Assist in the maintenance of machinery ensuring all machines are clean Assist in the pressing process of heat resistant fabrics. Work as part of a team Full training provided Mon - Thur 07.30 - 16.30 Fri - 07.30 - 12.30 Starting wage £8.21 (rising to £8.72 in April) Increasing after training & Up-skilled Apply online or Call Drake East Midlands 0115 944 7338
