Overview

As a Network Engineer you will provide support in a 2 nd /3 rd line capacity to the global operation. You will be working on activities of a support related nature to guide the business and the deployment of new products. You will be given the support and training to allow you to grow and progress in this position. The team has grown in line with the exponential growth of our company. Our network is extremely resilient to support the continued growth of the platform and consists of a wide range of technologies from many market leading vendors. The day to day work is interesting, challenging and fast paced amidst a hardworking and delivery focused company ethos. Main Responsibilities : Monitoring the mailbox and actioning requests where possible. Working with other areas of the business to support deployment of new products. Learning the touch points where changes to our network may have an impact on other business areas. Assisting with walk up requests in an approachable and helpful manner. Assisting with incident management related requests – ranging from low impact business incidents through to business critical website related incidents. Ensuring network compliance meets our networking standards. Preferred Skills and Experience: Adaptable and flexible. Ability to work in a fast paced, pressured environment. Ability to multi task and prioritise work by shifting focus as and when required. Self motivation. Strong team player. Good communicator. Passionate about network engineering. Previous experience in an infrastructure and/or technical related role. Exposure to or certification in ITIL. CCNA/CCNP certified (desirable).
