OVERVIEW One of the primary tasks within this role is to manage the risk seen in the Bridging Finance portfolio. As part of this role you will be required to work closely with the Portfolio Manager and the Group Risk Committee, reporting on the progress of defaulted cases and making recommendations on your findings to advise on the anticipated outcome of a case. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: · To work closely with the Bridging Finance Portfolio Manager and discuss upcoming cases which would be entering default · Issuing formal demands to borrowers when case enters default · Appointment of LPA Receivers on cases where necessary · Ongoing management of cases with LPA Receiver · Management of LPA Receivership panel · Preparation of reports for monthly risk call with the Portfolio Manager, Head of Bridging Finance and the Risk Committee. This will include an update on all cases currently in default, potential cases which may become a concern, likely outcomes and recommended provisions · General portfolio reviews with Head of Bridging Finance · Hindsight reviews of all cases that are defaulted CHARACTERISTICS & BEHAVIOURS: The key behaviours required for this role are: · Strong communicator · Ability to problem solve · Self-motivated · Team player · Committed & confident · Adaptable · Values driven · Organised · Customer focussed & people centric · Proactive · Approachable KEY SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE: · An understanding of the property finance market · An in-depth understanding of property backed finance and accompanying security · An ability to compose and structure reports, making recommendations for disposals of security. · The candidate must have good accuracy / administration and numeracy skills, be personable, professional, reliable and confident in their own ability. Ideally coming from a financial / asset finance background with an eagerness to learn. · Have a good general understanding of each facility type to mitigate any areas of concern that may arise for the full process from underwrite to becoming a live client and through to ongoing account working. · To maintain top levels of service to clients at all times on an on-going basis. · To perform any other duties as may be required by the Company from time to time.
