Overview

Spire Leeds has an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse to lead the ERU department which has 8 beds covering a wide variety of clinical specialities including; Cardiac, Ear, nose and throat (ENT) treatments, Ophthalmic and Gastroenterology. You will be an instrumental part of leading on change and transformation within the department and work closely with the Clinical/Resus Lead. Due to the multi-speciality nature of the role, this is a perfect opportunity for a nurse who wants to develop their skills and lead a team. Duties and responsibilities This is a hybrid role of management and clinical. The ERU Lead will manage the day to day duties and run the ERU department You will effectively communicate; attend team meetings and support staff and patients. You will help build on the department to become level 2/3 You will participate through mentorship in the orientation and development of junior staff Who we're looking for You will be a Registered Nurse with no restrictions on your NMC Pin. A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience working in Intensive Care, Critical Care or ERU. ALS certificate is desirable however we can offer training in this. Effective communication and work with staff at all levels. A mentorship qualification is not essential, however it desirable and will be utilised.
