Overview
Buyer Our Chichester based client is looking for a Buyer to support them on a 6-month contract, paying £35,000 - £39,000 Pro Rata . This position is working with a highly reputable organisation that delivers some of the most sought after products in the market. About Us Our organisation has been in operation for over 100 years and has delivered incredible innovations and products throughout our history. As a Buyer, you will work with our procurement team and our supply chain to ensure we continue to deliver the products we are so passionate about. We are dedicated to sustainability and you will work to identify suppliers that can support our sustainability goals. What will you do? The main responsibilities of the Buyer are: You will work with our design and engineering teams to understand the requirements of bespoke components Participate in tender and supplier selection exercises to ensure bespoke components can be delivered to specification You will manage the procurement process to guarantee that components are delivered to achieve our timing, quality and cost targets As the Buyer, you will work with our suppliers and build relationships to enable effective problem solving and continued successful partnerships About you? The skills and qualification required of the Buyer are: We are looking for experienced buyers that hold a CIPS qualification Experience working in the automotive, engineering or bespoke manufacturing environments Experience of project management and an understanding of working with external suppliers As a buyer, you will need to be skilled in negotiation and hold excellent project management and interpersonal skills.
