Quality Engineer - Civil Engineering/Infrastructure London £35,000 - £42,000 Package Civil Engineering About the opportunity Are you on course to hit your 5 year career plan? If not, this is a brilliant opportunity for somebody with a couple of years experience working as a Quality Engineer to work for a Tier One Main Contractor on one of the largest infrastructure projects in the UK (£1.9B). It's at least a 4 year project which involves building a tunnel from South East London to South West London. The purpose of this position is to support the Quality Manager and provide subject matter expertise ensuring the continuous improvement of business unit performance in line with external standards. The types of works you will be working on will involve deep shafts, deep drainage, concrete works and major earthworks. Quality Engineer, you will make sure that work is carried out to the customer’s standards, specification and schedule and that the correct materials and workmanship are used; ensuring the customer is given quality work and value for money. About the Company My client is a world wide, Tier One Main Contractor with sales over £26B across the globe. They are a multi disciplined contractor who specialise within several different parts of infrastructure (you will get the opportunity to work within several different sectors). The types of sectors they work in are highways & bridge infrastructure, rail infrastructure & major tunnelling projects. As a contractor they only focus on major projects. The projects they've tendered for and worked on have involved HS2, Silvertown Tunnel, Crossrail and Queensferry Crossing (£1.3B). Requirements Due to this being a permanent position my client will be looking for somebody who has worked for there current employer for at least 2/3 years. They will need somebody from a Tier One Main Contractor within the Civil Engineering & Infrastructure sector (based in the UK), ideally working on a major project. Experience working as a Quality Engineer is vital and being degree qualified within Civil Engineering would be preferable. Benefits and Rewards Are you still reading this?
