Overview

This is a temporary role paid on an hourly rate lasting for an expected 3 to 6 months equivalent to £27943 - £33095 per annum increasing to £32285 - £37426 after the first 3 months. We are looking for a Communications Manager to develop and deliver an effective internal Communications and Engagement function as well as contributing to the support and refinement of all external communications. Responsibilities include : Implementing the Communications strategy Ensuring that standards are met for quality of information Managing budgets Delivering effective processes and frameworks Managing Public & Media relations Proactive media management for positive news The successful candidate will also join the rota to be on call as part of the major incident team to handle media inquiries over occasional 24 hour periods. This role will require a DBS check - it would an advantage if you are an active DBS holder, however, we can assist and support new applications. Although initially on an temporary basis this role does present an excellent opportunity to add a well respected, fast paced and challenging environment to your CV.
