Overview
Newly created position within an organisation who require a Payroll Team Leader to join their Glasgow office on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic role where you will be given real autonomy to lead, develop, motivate and process improve current procedures. The successful candidate will be required to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the company payroll while managing a small team. In addition to this, you will lead payroll projects/initiatives improving existing systems and processes across the business. Responsibilities: Manage preparation of UK and international payrolls (training provided for international) Lead, motivate and develop a team a payroll team Build relationships with several stakeholders across different locations Oversee reconciliation of payrolls Respond to all payroll related queries Review and enhance existing process & procedures Create a strong payroll environment Maintain integrity of payroll data held on Payroll information system Ensure individual business units are provided with relevant reports in a timely manner Experienced Required: Pro-active, able to provide vision, leadership and motivation to successfully develop the payroll team Knowledge of PAYE, SSP, SMP and other statutory payments and regulations Competent in dealing with RTI, auto-enrolment regulations and all end of year activities Strong IT skills, proficient in Word, Excel & PowerPoint Strong analytical and problem solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work to tight deadlines
