Overview
Purpose of the role: To design and develop user-friendly, high-quality bespoke software solutions based on user requirements and analysis of business logic. To design and develop the organisations database systems in line with industry best practice. To provide user support to ensure maximum system availability. Main duties include: Collaborate in the design, development and implementation of IT solutions focusing on user needs while ensuring solutions are developed in a timely fashion Design and develop the organisations database systems in line with industry best practice and industry best practice Provide support for system users in order to resolve day-to-day problems, identifying which categories the problems fall into and deliver an appropriate response/solution. As part of the departments IT team you will maintain, upgrade and be responsible for the smooth operation of in-house developed software. Test, evaluate and debug programs to verify their accuracy and completeness; maintain and revise existing programs to ensure operating proficiency or to adapt programs to new requirements. Knowledge & Skills Required: An excellent working knowledge and ability in the following tools and technologies: Programming languages; C# or Python Web application frameworks; Net Core MVC or Django Entity Framework or similar ORM solution JavaScript including JQuery, AJAX, JSON Microsoft Visual Studio or other IDEs Software version control e.g. Git, SVN Microsoft SQL 2012 and above Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio for SQL server 2017 and above.
