Permanent Planning Lawyer required to join a highly innovative shared legal service which prides itself on providing legal services across the public and not to profit sector. This organisation is expanding and there is organic growth across legal services so this is an opportunity for you to further develop your career. The successful Planning Lawyer will have the opportunity to support your clients from public sector organisations on major development projects and regenration matters across three regional areas. Planning duties to include: Provide legal advice and services to client organisations in planning, development and highways matters and other corporate or constitution and administrative matters to ensure compliance with statutory duties and obligations and to protect the best interests of the client organisations Provide high quality, innovative, well researched and comprehensive specialist legal advice to clients (including elected members and senior officers), managing a complex caseload and delivering advice within the timescales requited by the client Act as a source of legal advice and support to any of the client Councils' Committees and Directorates as directed Draft a range of both highways and section 106 Agreements, and provide advice and assistance on the drafting of enforcement and breach of condition notices We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with initiative, a proactive approach to problem solving and a real commitment to the job.
