Overview

We are looking for a Client Officer and Collections Officer to join our family friendly team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to work with a diverse, established and experienced collection agency. You will deliver high standards of customer service, taking ownership of your personal performance, while keeping the best interests of our customers at the heart of what you do. You will directly be responsible for the collection of consumer and commercial debt in arrears in line with regulatory and our client’s policies and procedures. The post will contribute significantly to the day to day running of the operational business. The culture is professional and encourages individual excellence. Key Responsibilities Keeping track of assigned accounts to identify outstanding debts Planning course of action to recover outstanding payments - follow collection workflow Locating and contacting debtors to enquire of their payment status Inbound/outbound call and emails to debtors Negotiate payoff deadlines or payment plans Handle questions or complaints Investigate and resolve discrepancies Create trust relationships with debtors when possible to avoid future issues Update account status and Nexum regularly Complete diary work daily to clients & debtors Alert senior management of debtors unwilling or unable to pay when necessary Comply with requirements when legal action is unavoidable Skills and Experience Collections experience is essential. Customer Service/Call Centre/Call Make Excellent communication skills You will need to be pro-active, resilient, able to prioritise under pressure, enthusiastic, energetic and strong attention to detail. Responsible for early identification, escalation and mitigation of emerging credit risks. To ensure all administrative and audit procedures are complied with. Ensure compliance with company policy and procedure, FCA and other regulatory requirements.
