Overview

A Lloyd's Broker have a new opportunity for a Liability/Property Claims Handler. The role will specifically focus on Employers Liability and Public Liability claims. Applicants must have prior Liability (EL/PL) or Property claims experience. Key Responsibilities Responsibly handle all claims including those under the delegated authority schemes. Report claims notifications to insurers, providing suitable advice to insureds and dealing with third party aspects of claims as required. Review documentation provided by clients, underwriters and any other third party, and authorise estimates or appoint loss adjustors as appropriate. Respond promptly to client queries and ensure that all communications with customers and/or insurers, or other relevant business contacts, are accurately recorded (in writing). Advise clients on the policy cover, terms and conditions and claims protocol and reasonably ensure that the client understands the effect of breach of conditions or requirements. Record the details in the client records. Support the role of the Claims Administrator by acting as a referral and checking work. To ensure accuracy and quality of system data to ensure data and information integrity. Ensure compliance with regulations and procedures as laid down by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) by keeping up to date with all changes in the regulatory framework. Principal Accountabilities Follow firm's systems and procedures at all times to ensure compliance in all aspects of work. Respond promptly to client queries, ensuring that service standards are to the required level. Refer any query to the appropriate person when the enquiry falls outside own knowledge and expertise. Manage individual diary to ensure that all tasks are performed within prescribed timescales. Actively take part in the Company's appraisal review process, which is to be conducted on at least an annual basis. Actively support and take part in appropriate learning and development opportunities.
