Overview

Business Need Mazars Tax is embarking on a programme to digitally enhance existing processes within the tax business and to develop new digital services to improve efficiencies and provide an even better experience for our clients. Immediate projects will include Working with our tax compliance hubs to assess options and then ensure a smooth transition to new, digitally enabled, software, with AI capabilities. The role will include coaching the team so that they are aware of and confident using the new features. Working across tax with the various business streams to develop digital propositions that enable us to work more efficiently on client projects and support even greater collaboration across the business. Developing the knowledge of the tax professionals such that they feel confident discussing digital solutions with clients. Skills Required A good knowledge of tax law in broad terms to enable “informed” discussions with the various tax business streams Strong communication skills to enable them to explain processes in a style that supports the learning of the individuals A working knowledge of various technology offerings, including RPAs, AI, Data Mining Ability to understand and write code, as well as the ability to transfer tax processes and calculations into basic code for development Understanding of data analytics and data visualisation Good communication skills, with an ability to explain tax processes and Excel models to the technology developers Advanced Excel skills, preferable with experience of VBA development Longer Term Projects To work with the Tax Technology leadership group, with the aim to build and deploy new solutions to help the firm grow, in collaboration with both the Tax Compliance, Tax Advisory and Technology business streams. Help to create strategic roadmap for the implementation of technology within the tax advisory department, ensuring best practices are implemented across the firm. Collaborating with internal key stakeholders to design and create technology solutions for internal and external market. Forging a link between the existing technology and tax teams. Work alongside client relationship managers to help improve client’s internal processes and build new solutions.
