Legal Tech firm focused on ML and Data Science looking for a Data Engineer with Web Scraping Expertise Your new company A London based Law Firm that I am partnered with is expanding their sizeable Data Science and Engineering team as they look to embrace new machine learning and Data Science approaches. The firm have a large focus on technology and social media, and you will be presented with an opportunity to work on large scale projects and to develop niche areas of your skill set. Your new role As a data engineer you will look to write and maintain scrapers for over 100 websites. This firm collects a huge amount of data by scraping websites, scanning books and recording videos. You will also be developing software to allow for scaling of data gathering across 1000s of sources. For those of you who have an interest in Machine Learning, there is also scope in this role to develop ML models. What you'll need to succeed You will need expertise in one or more of these areas: Experience in web scraping (e.g. XPath, Selenium, JSON, APIs) Regular Expressions Intermediate knowledge of SQL (e.g. Safe insertions, aggregating, filtering etc.) What you'll get in return You will receive a highly competitive salary, as well as a defined range for progression and an opportunity to develop and learn from your peers and from attending top academic conferences such as NeurlPS, ICML, CVPR and ACL.
