JOB DETAILS Salary: £29,597 - £42,965 (market supplements included) Contract: Permanent, full-time We're seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join our Lifelong Services Child Disability Team based in Worthing. As a Social Worker with the Child Disability Team you will offer a specialist social work service for disabled children and young people with complex needs. You will work with them, their families and other agencies to understand and meet their assessed needs; supporting them to achieve their potential. Your role will include assessment, planning and interventions with Children in Need, Children Looked After and Children in need of Protection. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED You will have a Social Work qualification and an understanding of the impact of disability on children's lives. We're looking for somebody who is passionate about making a difference and able to use creative and personalised strengths-based approaches alongside the team's embedded Signs of Safety work to achieve positive outcomes for children. You will be able to work in partnership with disabled children and their families as well as colleagues in Children's and Adult's Services, Education, Health and the Voluntary & Community sector. Alongside this, we are able to provide additional support from Coordinators who provide flexible administrative support. We also offer regular group supervision and peer learning alongside specialist roles to focus on the most vulnerable children. As a Social Worker you'll have access to research communities including Research in Practice, flexible and mobile working opportunities, a minimum of 5 days CPD per year, Social Work England fees paid and annual leave of up to 29 days.
