Posting date: 4 March 2020 Closing date: 3 April 2020 Overall Responsibilities: Working within the Finance team in London, this person will support the Finance Director in fulfilling the objectives of the department, namely: Prepare & submit monthly liquidity returns, quarterly returns for OCP, BS, PNL etc; Prepare & submit the quarterly COREP & Own Funds Returns and Leverage ratio returns; Prepare & submit the Asset Encumbrance Returns; Monitor, prepare and submit Large Exposures returns; Coordination with Risk Department for Credit risk, Market Risk & Operational Risk and COREP submissions; Calculation of organisational capital ratios for internal reporting purposes To assist in the ILAA & ICAAP Processes Development and update of the regulatory reporting procedures Proactively build and develop knowledge in regulatory framework, rules and potential developments Liaising with Moscow finance, Operations, IT teams in order to fulfil daily tasks and duties Other ad hoc duties as requested Key Behaviours: Ensure that conduct is “Fit and Proper” at all times. Maintain a high level of competency, with Continued Professional Development (CPD). Complete mandatory training in accordance with the firm’s business activities and FCA regulations. Have a clear understanding of Sova’s policies and procedures, including Compliance, Trading Mandates, Breaches and Escalations, etc. Be aware of and comply with all applicable FCA regulations and guidelines, as well as other regulatory and industry bodies as applicable. Ensure internal policies and procedures, and regulatory guidelines and requirements are met and fully complied with. Ensure appropriate escalation and action is taken over any issues identified that are suspicious; and/or suggest the occurrence of fraud, corruption, bribery, money laundering, market abuse, or any other form or financial crime or other regulatory breaches; and/or indicate a significant risk to Sova’s business activities and/or reputation. Liaise and co-ordinate with other senior management, departments and governance committees as appropriate, to ensure that Internal Audit function is effectively controlled. Promote a positive culture of regulatory compliance within the firm and participate in firm-wide initiatives. Qualifications/Skills and Competencies: 3 years previous experience in Regulatory Reporting, preferably in a managerial role Excellent communication, cross cultural and management skills Experienced user of knowledge of IT systems such as 1C, Calypso, Mango, TBricks, etc. Relevant qualifications such as FRM, PRM (in progress) are preferable Experience working with the finance function of a brokerage firm and have an extensive understanding of the brokerage industry; Experience working with a multi-national firm (preferably operating with BRICs countries) Knowledge of the Russian language is a plus
