Overview

Introduction Vichag is one of UK’s rapidly growing IT and Business consulting companies specialising in providing IT consulting and business solutions to Industry and public sector enterprises across UK. Currently we are looking for an experienced DevOps and cloud systems consultant with SDET experience in complex IT landscapes. Key Responsibilities To manage virtualised cloud infrastructure and platform, working in conjunction with the DevOps teams To estimate and plan for DevOps based software development projects To work in migrating multi-tier infrastructure and applications from a traditional data center to cloud services such as AWS or GCP To work on application development in cloud IT landscapes with DevOps process To design and create high levels of automation such as Infrastructure-as-Code, such as Chef, Ansible or Terraform To partner with delivery teams to develop operationally sustainable CI/CD solutions To create and implement test strategies, plans and scripts for Automation and Manual testing models pertaining to DevOps and cloud services projects. To demonstrate knowledge of Agile approaches such as Kanban , Crystal, FDD or XP To work on automation and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) To build cutting edge features and work with best of breed technologies to automate processes. To assess the impact of emerging technologies and advise Business stakeholders Essential Experience Proven experience of delivering cloud-native solutions on a public cloud platform. Proven experience in building, deploying and operating systems (network, servers, services, and applications on AWS or GCP) Experience of working in a DevOps team following lean/agile delivery methodologies. Experience on Linux and Windows Operating Systems and automation through Scripting Experience with infrastructure automation/configuration management technologies such as Ansible or Chef Experience on automation of cloud orchestration and containerisation technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes Experience with Docker-based application hosting, including the development and building of container images. Ability to adapt to new technologies and in improving the existing processes Skill Sets Required Strong understanding of a hyper-scale platform such as AWS or GCP Ability to use CI and CD recommended practices and supporting tools Ability to automate configuration management, infrastructure, and application deployments in a toolset such as Chef or Ansible. Experience on software build automation with ANT or Maven Programming skills in native technologies such as .NET and Java Strong cross-platform Scripting skills such as JavaScript, JQuery, Ajax, Ruby or Yaml Excellent communication (written and verbal) and client engagement skills Education Level / Qualifications (Minimum) Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering Travel - Occasionally within UK and abroad Last date to apply: 17 th April 2020
