Overview

A renowned Investment organisation are looking to recruit a Corporate Lawyer, with at least 5 years’ PQE, for a 12 month contract based in London. You will be working closely with stakeholders and be involved in complex, high value contract negotiations related to the company’s business. You will be integral to the company’s plan for growth. Key Duties: Advising on a broad range of corporate work including M&A deals, cross-border mergers and internal reorganisations. Involvement in strategic initiatives and general corporate advisory work. Providing end-to-end M&A legal advice whilst working closely with the business on the execution of transactions. Identifying and pursuing opportunities to improve the company's approach and ability to negotiate M&A transactions, including developing and updating internal templates for core transaction documents. Building a strong working relationship with key stakeholders and wider business colleagues and pro-actively assist with the elimination of inefficiencies. Providing legal advice and guidance to the wider business on ad hoc legal issues and business projects. Performing other duties as required or assigned. You must be a pragmatic lawyer who can advise, influence and support key stakeholders to ensure close alignment between the Legal function and business areas and identify and progress value creation opportunities. The successful candidate needs to have a minimum of 5 years PQE within a reputable Corporate team. You must have experience drafting and negotiating a broad range of transaction documents. You will be used to working autonomously, taking responsibilities and advising senior executives on strategic M&A activity. This role would suit a commercially minded M&A lawyer.
