Commercial Lawyer- 12 month contract
Overview
An opportunity has arisen for a Lawyer to join a large and supportive in-house legal team, working for a major business based in Birmingham City Centre for a 12 month contract. The business The business is an internationally renowned organisation with a well established in-house legal team, comprising of 22 in-house legal professionals nationwide. They are now seeking a proactive lawyer to join their regional team in Central Birmingham. The role As well as working on some commercial contracts the main focus of this role could be described as being more in line with legal operations. The 12 month contract is to test the benefits of having this role on a longer term basis in the business. This role is to look at the way in which legal queries are coming in to the legal team, how they disseminate the work, what legal queries can be automated or completed by other team members (non lawyers). There will be full support in this role - so don't worry if this has not been an area of focus for you in the past. What is of importance is your understanding of an in-house function and your ability to process the current ways of working and consider ways of improvement. This is a really interesting project and one that will certainly add to your experience. Full time role based in a fantastic central location; the offices are located in the heart of Birmingham's business district.
