Strategic Governance Senior Officer (SC Cleared), Data Policy, Compliance, Records Management, Service Delivery, Plan, Design, Develop, Training, Trainer, Security Cleared, Clearance, DV, Develop Vetted, Security, Policy, Our Central Government client based in London are recruiting for a Strategic Governance Senior Officer. The role requires SC Security Clearance. The Governance and Policy team within the Chief Data Office sets and maintain relevant and legally compliant information and data policies and standards, to provide information security assurance to the Client's information systems and services, while ensuring compliance across the agency. This request is for Senior Officers to work in Strategic Governance within the wider Governance and Policy team. These roles will focus on delivering coordination of the Agency's Data Governance Board and its sub-groups, Bulk Personal Dataset assurance, and engagement with Partners and external Bodies. Role Profile Manage secretariat support to data governance forums to ensure the priorities of the Agency are met and appropriate standards maintained. Support good information/data management governance and compliance across the agency by providing professional advice on the practical use of data and the application of Chief Data Office owned Policy and Operating Procedures, in particular in relation to Bulk Personal Datasets. Embed good records and information management practice in the day to day activity of officers with the team, identifying both best practice and areas for improvement. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders in order to foster collaborative working and enable effective service delivery. Manage and prioritise resources to ensure work is planned and completed within agreed timescales and meets high quality standards. Plan, design, develop and deliver training products to support identified learning needs (as appropriate). Supervise the quality, secure handling and dissemination of data/information, maintaining confidentiality, sensitivity and a duty of care in line with Agency policy. Develop policy, reports, and procedures and analyse and present performance data (as appropriate). Key Skills / Experience Knowledge of setting and maintaining relevant and legally compliant information and data policies and standards. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Good organisational skills with the ability to adapt and respond to a busy and varied workload. Information technology skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to drafting and produce high quality reports, including Briefings and Memos as required. Analytical skills with the ability to present business information in a variety of formats. Training and presentation skills including the development and delivery of training material as and when required. Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team; working to meet deadlines with limited supervision. Relevant administrative experience in a data.
