Overview

Our client is recruiting for an IT Support Officer based in Kilburn, London. The successful candidate will be part of a team of IT engineers reporting to the IT Manager. The role will involve working to support our company IT infrastructure across the UK and Ireland as well as delivering project tasks. The IT Support Officer will be responsible for providing a high-quality service to all staff, bridging the gap between end-users and externalised services as well as holding responsibility for the successful operation of in-house managed IT equipment. This is a hands-on role where the successful candidate will need to possess the relevant technical skills and understanding in areas such as Microsoft Windows, Office365, Networking and Data Security as well as soft skills such as effective communication and prioritisation. The role will involve working across a broad range of technologies which will allow the individual to learn new skills as well as bring additional experience and knowledge to the team. Responsibilities The responsibilities of the IT Support Officer will be as follows: Prioritise, progress and resolve technical incidents and service requests in accordance with business service level agreements, providing excellent customer service at all times Provide 1st and 2nd Line Support on externalised services for raised incidents and service requests, completing tasks such as: o Management of user accounts o Configuration of end user cloud desktop sessions and software o Actioning requests for access to company information stores o Ensure successful operation of the in-house managed IT services through proactive and reactive service management, working with technology and devices such as: o Telephony System o LAN/WAN Networking o Printers, Scanners and Card Payment devices Complete assigned administrative-technical tasks and duties to support other key business functions, such as: o Installing, maintaining and upgrading staff hardware and desktop software o Configuration and Management of the company’s Cloud Services eg Office365 setup for end-users Assist the IT Manager and other team-members with the completion of project tasks and deliverables. Work alongside third-party support teams for externalised services, ensuring that suppliers and vendors are working to resolve any raised incidents and service requests in a timely manner Ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of all business information in line with company, industry and government policies. Identify areas where processes and technology can be improved or automated. Complete assigned training and certification tasks according to the company aims and objectives. Experience & Skills Required Minimum of 2 years experience administering the following technologies: Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems (ideally to MCP standard) Active Directory Administration WAN/LAN TCP IP Networking, Wireless technologies such as Cisco Meraki and Ubiquiti Wireless Minimum of 1 years experience administering the following technologies: Microsoft Office365 suite: OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams Essential Understanding (in addition to required experience) The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate knowledge in the following areas: Cloud Technologies and Virtualised systems IT Security best practice eg file permissions, password controls, network security technologies Remote Desktop Services Desirable Technical Experience and/or Qualifications: Alcatel Telephony System Sage Payroll & HR Cloud Adobe Cloud Suite Microsoft SQL Server Epicor BisTrack Cisco CCNA qualification Microsoft Azure Microsoft SharePoint About You It is desirable for the successful candidate to hold a clean UK driving license as there may be a requirement to travel to other sites within the London area.
