We offer a huge range of ingredients, sourced from suppliers all over the world and sell predominantly to UK-based food manufacturers and food service companies. We deal in volumes ranging from a single carton to full truck or container loads and have access to over 30,000 different products. We are looking for someone initially to support our Sales and Trading team. However, the right candidate is someone who aspires to develop the skills required to be a first-class Sales and Trading Executive in their own right. The difference between Sales and Trading is that you are not only selling a product, but you are buying it too, along with negotiating the prices, arranging delivery – and, of course, making sure that you make a profit at the end of it all. It’s a challenging – but interesting - role, that is a cut above just pitching a set product at a fixed price. The role initially involves working with a Senior Trader to: · Prepare, verify and manage all information related to the sale, supply and delivery of goods, calling suppliers and transport companies as necessary. · Ensuring that all orders and purchase orders are recorded onto the CRM system and that all associated documentation is accurate. · Ensuring that samples are requested and received to the deadlines required and that technical information is obtained from suppliers and presented in the required format. · Providing other general administrative functions as and when requested. And will progress to: · Responsibility for growing the revenue and customer base, by building relationships with existing customers and suppliers. · Negotiating with suppliers, customers and logistic companies to build profitable ingredient transactions. · To source, identify and contact potential new customers with a view to building further relationships and supply ingredients from our extensive range of suppliers. Terry Foods is based at the Genesis Centre near Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent, with free parking and canteen facilities.
