Exciting opportunity for a self-starter DevOps Engineer to join a fast-growing Fintech operating at the cutting edge of Machine Learning & Big Data in Financial Services. The role offers the successful candidate the opportunity to work in a multi-disciplinary team responsible for designing and building the core infrastructure that supports our products. Their tech stack is entirely AWS based, and therefore the team is critical in providing support to product development and innovation. This is a temporary position for 3-6 months. As a DevOps Engineer you will: Work with the development teams to understand technical requirements and scoping of projects Enhance and improve our DevOps capability Adhere to best security practices Identify, evaluate, deploy and review new AWS features to improve our architecture Understand and manage AWS cost base, seek out and identity cost optimisation opportunities Work hands-on in the implementation of production systems on AWS Knowledge of Python for Lambda functions Work with cloud-native AWS resources including: Networking: VPC, VPN, Route 53, CloudFront Systems Operations: CloudWatch Logs, ELK, CloudTrail, Config REST API using API Gateway, Lambda, WAF This is an opportunity to join a cutting-edge FinTech company with room to develop skills and knowledge in the fields of both technology and finance. REQUIREMENTS Essential: Experience of Terraform or CloudFormation, Jenkins is a must Design and Implementing CI/CD pipelines Experience in a technology company with strong AWS background Demonstrated experience in building solutions using AWS Linux Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with developers to discuss and resolve issues Strong team player Drive to find simple and reliable ways to solve complex problems Passion for new technologies Desirable: Kubernetes exposure Architect and design experience through to hands-on implementation This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89887166
