ENGINEERING MANAGER (MAINTENANCE) • Growing SME Engineering Business • Working across multiple markets • Based in the South East of England • Circa £50-55k per annum Package (Days) We are looking to hire an engineering manager who is motivated by the challenge of moving a company from a reactive mindset to a proactive (PPM) based environment. The company are a long-established business, who are investing to improve and ensure their business becomes more efficient. The company has a clear direction and growth plan – they are looking for a positive individual, with a can-do attitude, who wants to be part of it. The role will involve (as a summary): • Analysing the current systems and processes; • Putting a plan in place to improve the efficiency and performance of the plant; • Hire, support and mentor a maintenance team capable of working in a proactive environment; • Day to day management of a small maintenance team; • Looking for improvements- provide business cases to senior management; • Support and be hands on where required; • Be a positive member of the management team and input on the business direction It’s a people business and therefore it is essential that the person coming into the organisation is able to both lead and support other people in the organisation. They are looking for someone who will be able to provide leadership and direction but will still need to have a hands-on team as the team is relatively small.
