Overview
Oakleaf have a rare and exciting vacancy for a couple of Patient Safety Officers (PSO) to join our team at our acute mental health hospital in Mundesley, Ideally the post holder will have experience in a similar setting or at senior support worker, be confident with managing challenging behaviour and have a positive approach to their work. The successful candidate will be required to lead a small team in certain areas of the hospital in the absence of an immediately available registered nurse and will therefore be effective and autonomous in their practice, they will be confident and proactive and a role model to their colleagues. Experience of working at a senior support worker level a must. Willing to become a PRICE instructor - Physical intervention (willing to go through the training with us to become a PSO) Must have NVQ/QCF Level 3 - Health and Social Care Southern Hill Hospital has 25 mental health beds across two wards, as well as a 5 bed Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). Southern Hill Hospital is able to offer a 24 hour acute admission within a safe and secure environment. This is a new role for our hospital and as such is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to make this role their own.
